Op. 24, is a multidisciplinary project exploring how sound shapes our perception of space and time. I built a 24-hour soundscape from field recordings and experimental music, then translated those patterns into a visual identity through custom typography, illustration, photography, and 3D elements. The result is a system that blurs boundaries between sound design, experimental type, and image-making; an evolving work that invites participation and adapts to new environments.

TYPEFACE
Op.24 began as a freehand experiment to create interchangeable glyph sequences that feel both mechanical and conscious. Built on sonic and time-based concepts, the typeface uses a monospace system to maintain rhythm and legibility, with deliberate gaps suggesting silent compositions. By stripping away sharp contrast and rigid forms, Op.24 stays modular and freeform within a calm, uniform structure.

Inspired by soundscapes and their temporal drift, these images accompany a 24hr ambient composition, an auditory trace of space, rhythm, and the unseen patterns of lived time.

It is a reflection of one's behaviours and comprehension of space and time through sound. This project is a sonic translation of individual patterns of existence and environment, accidental junctures, and their transformation into immaterial frequencies and a fathomable experience. Similar to the idea of Psychogeography (Situationist International), where the original idea of a map is not only conceptually but also physically torn pieces and reassembled, in this project, a novel concept of space is introduced and the conventional boundaries are blurred out.
Op. 24 can also be interpreted as a sonic form of time measurement. Through a consistent process of recording soundscapes and experimental musical agents, I was able to produce a 24-hour soundtrack dedicated to reflecting and illustrating how one perceives the passage of time through the changes in their environment.
These sounds are particular to an individual's patterns of existence, habits, and interactions. When compiled, these raw recordings and accidental sounds have the ability to layer into an ambience that is consumable by others, while being distinct to the creator. A good sum of sonic habits and behaviours are shared amongst humanity, yet there are certain occurrences and sound waves that are better sensed by a smaller majority due to their shared resonance and wavelengths.
